About Chelsea:

Chelsea McGuffin is a Brisbane based acrobat, circus performer and director. She's been a front runner in the industry for decades and holds two Guinness World
Records for walking on champagne bottles. On top of this, Chelsea Co-owns her own Contemporary Circus company, Company 2. This company, founded in 2010, delivers high quality, thought provoking, jaw-dropping work that has toured in over 6 countries. In Chelsea's 3 day workshop you can expect to learn the basics of circus and acrobatics, have a lot of fun and leave the camp with a few tricks up your sleeve!

What you'll learn:

Over the course of three days you will learn a large range of circus skills from both Chelsea and one of her internationally recognised ensemble members. Starting with core work, hand stands, human pyramids, partnerwork, strength work, inversions and exploring creativity in a peaceful connected environment. Once you've mastered these basics you'll move on to walking on tight wires and learning aerial skills! There will also be time for an awesome group Jam session so if you have any skill you'd love to learn, or any equipment you've been playing around with such as juggling balls or hula hoops, bring them along!

The classes run all day over three days, roughly 9 or 10am till 4pm. With a performance outcome on the evening of the 3rd day (Thursday 2 May).

Arrive at the beautiful Woodfordia either the morning of, or the day prior to your workshop starting. The address is 87 Woodrow Road, the home of the Woodford Folk Festival. Follow the signs to the reception venue and you'll be greeted and registered and shown your tent or van space (detailed accommodation options will be released in early February). But the quick version is: own camping or van is free, or you can hire a pre-erected tent or something fancy so you'll feel like a star (we're working on caravans, glamping and teepees!). You are also welcome to travel to site each day if you prefer.

Don't forget that to celebrate our final day (THURSDAY May 2) is the night of our Artisan Feast, inclusive in your ticket price, with a bar featuring drinks at 80s prices and a night of entertainment and delicious chef-cooked food.
